Frequently Asked Questions

Is El Jadida worth visiting compared to other Moroccan cities?
Absolutely. As a UNESCO World Heritage site, El Jadida offers unique Portuguese-Moorish architecture you won’t find elsewhere. The Portuguese Cistern and fortified walls provide a different historical perspective from imperial cities.
Rabat offers a unique blend of historical significance and modern capital life. Unlike Marrakech or Fez, it’s less crowded, more organised, and features well-preserved sites alongside contemporary government buildings.
While we don’t include beach activities, El Jadida has beautiful beaches perfect for swimming during free time. The city is known for its golden sands and water sports opportunities, which you can enjoy before or after the guided tour.
The Habous Quarter (New Medina) was built by the French in the 1930s, making it more organized and spacious than ancient medinas. It features wider streets, arcades, and blends Moroccan architecture with European urban planning, creating a unique shopping and cultural experience.
The best time to visit is mid-day when sunlight filters through the roof opening, creating stunning light effects on the water. The cistern is relatively small, so 30-45 minutes is sufficient. Your guide will explain its history as a former arms depot and water reservoir.
