Morning Bliss in a Secret Garden
Escape the medina’s energy with a 2.5-hour morning yoga session in a private palm-shaded garden. Our Vinyasa flow blends traditional poses with Berber-inspired movements, followed by mint tea meditation and optional argan oil hand massages. Includes mats, towels, and chilled herbal infusions.
This isn’t about perfect poses—it’s about practising where:
Sun salutations align with the muezzin’s dawn call from Koutoubia Mosque
Palm grove shalas float above rose gardens
“But I’m not ‘advanced’…” Our 80-year-old Amazigh guide teaches poses adapted from goat herders’ stretches.
Sunrise (6 AM):
Vinyasa flow to birdsong in the olive orchard
Silent breakfast of almonds from the retreat’s trees
Midday (11 AM):
Tajine-fueled workshops: “Hips Don’t Lie” (Moroccan dance anatomy)
Medina mindfulness walks: Tracking saffron scent trails like human bloodhounds
Sunset (6 PM):
Yin by lantern light in the 17th-century caravanserai
Overthinkers: “Our ‘Desert Stillness’ drill will quiet your mind faster than 100 meditation apps.”
Adventure Yogis: “Friday’s acro-yoga session uses actual Berber wedding blankets as mats.”
Culture Curious: “You’ll learn the yoga pose hidden in every zellige tile pattern.”
The Breath Trick: Inhale through your nose like smelling mint tea, exhale through the mouth like cooling couscous.
The Hammam Hack: Post-yoga ghassoul clay wraps use poses to maximise absorption (science backs this).
The Hidden Asana: “The Saharan Wind” pose—taught only during August’s heatwave days.
Afternoon Add-On: Luxury Hammam Spa – Melt post-yoga tension with argan oil massages and clay wraps.
Off-Day Adventure: Ourika Valley hike to practice cliffside warrior poses.
Props Provided: Handwoven wool bolsters, sand-filled weights for grounding.
Summer Rule: 5 AM starts in July (you’ll thank us when the mercury hits 40°C).
Dress Code: Shoulders covered en route to shala—we loan embroidered kaftans.
We’re the only retreat where:
Fes artisans crafted your mat bag to double as a meditation stool
Chef Amina adjusts menus by checking your tongue at breakfast
The final ceremony involves planting an olive tree with your intentions
“You’ll leave standing taller—not just from the yoga, but from carrying Morocco in your spine.”
From your first step to your last sunset, Morocco is your next unforgettable journey, ready to start?
